About Ryan

We are excited to announce that Ryan Hunter-Reay has agreed to be Racing For Cancer’s Global Ambassador! Ryan’s story is a great one. Here’s a guy that has risen through the racing community as one of the next great American race car drivers. Here’s a guy without a permanent ride in 2010 yet won the race at Long Beach earlier this year, catapulting him to 3rd place in the IZOD Indy Car series points championship. He’s an intelligent, young, talented, caring guy who lost his mother last November to colon cancer, and won the Long Beach race in her honor.  He met his fiancé at this racetrack, and is the first American driver to win at Long Beach since his boss Michael Andretti.  He’s even got the good looks and media presence that every sports superstar must possess.
We have no doubt Ryan will be “kissing the bricks” at Indianapolis in the not to distant future.
