The 289-bed hospital is renowned for excellence in all aspects of pediatric medicine with several specialty programs ranked among the best in the nation in 2009 by U.S.News & World Report.

The hospital has also been designated an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet facility, the nursing profession’s most prestigious institutional honor and is home to the largest pediatric teaching program in the southeastern United States.

  • By providing financial support to those families who are in extraordinary situations and struggle with the daily burden of caring for a sick child.
  • By granting the children’s greatest holiday wishes at an annual Holiday Extravaganza.  The Michael Fux Foundation began this tradition several years ago and it has rapidly become one of Miami’s most joyous events of the season.
  • The creation of a Family Resource Center at Miami Children’s Hospital – a place that families can access 24/7 while their children are hospitalized.
